Accessibility

Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) strives to ensure our websites are accessible to those with disabilities. We value every learner, and are committed to being a leader in expanding access to all. Therefore, it is GISD’s commitment to ensure that our website, mobile applications, and platform are accessible to individuals with disabilities and that they permit content providers to develop and post accessible content.

This website endeavors to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS and displays correctly in current browsers.

The majority of pages in GISD website are available in HTML format that can be deciphered by screen readers. Some documents are in Adobe PDF format, which require Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, you can download it for free from the Adobe website.

Please note that some pages on the GISD website contain links to third party sites, which are not within the district’s control and may not comply with accessibility standards. The district is not responsible for the content or accessibility of third party sites.

GISD is currently working to ensure adherence to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability as comprehensively as possible on this website. We also seek to continually improve in our efforts to ensure that all posted/linked resources (documents, videos) meet accessibility guidelines. Please direct any questions or suggestions on how to improve the accessibility of our site and platform to gisdweb@geneseeisd.org or use the form link below.  We welcome your feedback.
