Hear about the history of the career planning process in Genesee County. The Career Planning Initiative originated with superintendents conducting research to get students to focus on their futures in each of the 21 school districts. It now includes all students who experience a variety of career-planning activities beginning in the 7th grade.

Dave Smith, GISD Career Consultant, discusses the importance of career planning to help students understand careers in Michigan. He also discusses senior exit presentations and career integration, and talks about how they are positive for both students and their teachers.
