General InformationGrants and Development is one of three core components within GISD’s Communications and Development department. Services of grants and development are designed to help educators access external financial support. Conducting grants research and convening writing teams to pursue funding for programs operated by or through GISD are its primary responsibilities. Private and public foundation gifts are additionally sought to complement local, state and federal government resources. Specific services include:
GISD is a clearinghouse for public and private grants/ foundation resources. Internet and hard copy database information is also available as a tool for the grant procurement process. Through attainment of nontraditional funding that includes corporate and foundation grants, GISD enhances the needs of its constituents in innovative ways.
