The Michigan Public Act 413 of 2004
requires the Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) to post information about any modification made during the school fiscal year to an existing contract that resulted in an additional financial obligation owed by GISD in excess of $100,000, or that resulted in the total financial obligation owed by GISD from the existing contract exceeding $100,000. Also, modifications that were not competitively bid resulting in an additional obligation in excess of $25,000 or the total financial obligation exceeding $25,000 must be reported.
During building projects and regular capital improvement activities, additional changes or equipment requirements may become necessary beyond the initial assumptions or plans. Within existing contract relationships, modifications can occur to achieve the final objective.
