Genesee Early College
Purpose
Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD), in partnership with the University of Michigan-Flint, operates the Genesee Early College (GEC). GEC is an intensive, state-of-the-art, five-year high school combining the best elements of the high school and early university experience. 

Genesee Early College is designed to prepare students for careers and advanced study in the medical and health-related professions, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) professions. The school is a fully integrated part of the University of Michigan-Flint community and is located on its campus. It is open to students from the 21 local districts in Genesee County, as well as from those districts geographically adjacent to Genesee County.

  • Offers support for successful completion of university-level coursework
