Procedures for Participating in an Interactive Learning Program
- Check with your Principal for permission and
your ITV Event Facilitator for availability of the
room/equipment.
- Search for curriculum-related programs on the TWICE
database or the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration.
- ITV Event Facilitator must register
for programs on behalf
of teachers. The Facilitator can also assist teachers in finding
a program. Please allow 10-15 business days advanced notice when scheduling a program.
- Familiarize yourself with the equipment.
Teachers can be trained by their Facilitator;
or you could meet with TMS staff over video for a quick orientation
(call 810-591-4463 to schedule).
- Prepare students for the program.
Do any preparation activities suggested/required by the program provider.
(Almost every
site has pre-activities and some have web sites to visit.) If you wish,
we can
connect to you before the program starts to orient your students
to the distance learning process. This helps students get used to the
camera
so they can concentrate on the program. Arrange this with TMS staff
as well.
- Attend the program. Encourage your principal to
attend. You may NOT record the program unless otherwise indicated.
Each site values the interactivity
of using the system and some have copyright issues.
- Do the post activities (if applicable).
- Evaluate the
program. This videoconference evaluation database is maintained by
Genesee ISD.
