Special needs students are transported to and from GISD’s center-based programs and to a number of Project CHOICE sites within GISD’s service area. The consortium generates approximately $1.5 million in savings for the participating school districts each year. The GASC Transportation Consortium started operations in 2004. The consortium currently consists of 19 school districts. The GASC Transportation Consortium generates approximately $450,000 in savings for the participating school districts each year.
