Genesee County Career & Technical Education Early Middle College

Get Ahead. Earn College Credit.
Explore Your Future with Genesee County CTE Early Middle College
The Genesee County CTE Early Middle College (EMC) program lets motivated students earn college credit, explore careers, and build real-world skills—while still in high school.
Starting in 11th grade, students combine high school classes with college-level coursework. By 12th grade, they’re earning even more college credit, and in the 13th year, students follow a focused Program of Study with a full college schedule—working toward college credits, credentials, or an associate degree.
Programs are offered through Genesee Career Institute and local school districts, giving students hands-on experience that prepares them for what’s next.
Built for Student Success
Every EMC student is supported by a Success Coach, plus their high school and college partners—so they’re never navigating the journey alone.
