Congratulations Eileen! Eileen credits her mother with helping her succeed through modeling persistence in all she does! Ultimately, Eileen’s journey took her from Fenton High School to the Genesee Career Institute and the Medical Assistant 1 & 2 program where she has exceled. In the two years Eileen has been a part of the GCI Medical Assistant program she has learned about human anatomy and medical terminology, while mastering assessment skills like taking patient vitals and performing EKGs.

Eileen taught guitar and piano at A Joyful Noise Music Studio in Fenton before entering the program, giving her the opportunity to work with children and inspiring her to pursue a career in pediatric nursing. She looks forward to being a part of educating children and their families about their medical needs.

During her high school career, Eileen has been an active member of Fenton High School Cross Country and Tennis, where she enjoys working as a team and encouraging her peers. She has been a member of the varsity tennis team for all four years of high school and loves the sport and the camaraderie.

Eileen has plans to attend Oakland University where she can further her medical career in the pursuit of a degree in Nursing, ultimately specializing in pediatrics. She hopes to take the Registered Medical Assistant exam upon completion of the GCI program and work as an RMA after high school. There is no doubt that Eileen’s drive to succeed will serve her well in her post-secondary career, as well as her future ventures.
