GISD's Transition Center has been recognized by the Michigan Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) with the Whole Child Award – Bronze Level for the 2025–2026 school year.
This recognition honors the meaningful work taking place at the Transition Center to support students academically, socially, and emotionally as they prepare for life beyond high school. The award reflects a strong commitment to addressing the needs of the whole child and creating an environment where students are supported, engaged, and empowered to succeed.
