GISD is excited to announce the official launch of a new
website for Genesee County residents from ages 14-26. The new website will provide access to resources to help them plan for their future.
The primary goal during the development process was to create a tool to assist individuals and guide them through important decisions as they make plans beyond graduation. Whether individuals need assistance with career and college planning, financial support, skilled trades, apprenticeship programs, or are looking for transition planning options for students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan, the website provides all of that information in one location.
In 2018, a Career Development Task Force was created, devised of individuals from across Genesee County in various education and business roles. Participants were asked to identify goals for the county. Creating a tool for students and families that could provide career planning and college resources was one of those goals.
The GISD is pleased to be able to launch this website and share the commitment in meeting the needs of all students and families in Genesee County.
