Powering Educational Opportunities

Providing Genesee County learners with a telecommunications path to the world, the Genesee Network for Education Telecommunications (GenNET) is an electronic pathway that allows voice, video, and data transmission over fiber optic cable. The system operates by interconnecting 21 local school districts and the Intermediate School District in Genesee County.

Program Organization

The 21-member GenNET Governing Board was appointed to guide construction, implementation, and use of the education network. Subcommittees ensure that all aspects of the network are student- and staff-ready.
