Electrical Wiring Course

This 80-hour program teaches fundamental concepts in residential and commercial wiring based on the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Students will learn hands-on applications of residential, commercial, and industrial wiring. 

Students will learn the following:
  • Shop practices, safety procedures, tool knowledge
  • Electrical theory
  • Hand bending of conduit
  • National and local electrical codes
  • AC & DC circuits
  • Residential, commercial, and industrial wiring basics

This course will help prepare participants for NCCER certification examinations, entry-level employment, and/or college programs.

Course Schedule

This course will run for 80 hours and will be offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Genesee Career Institute.
