Student Application Process

Application

Students who want to participate in the Genesee County CTE Early Middle College must fill out an application. The online application will be available February 1, 2021.  As part of the application process, students are required to write an essay, acquire two letters of recommendation, and complete the enrollment process for the college partner. Interview

After the application window has closed and student applications are reviewed, students meeting the minimum criteria for the Genesee County CTE Early Middle College will be scheduled for an interview.  Students and parents/guardians are expected to attend the interview. The interview will cover the following topics:

Student goals and aspirations
Previous educational experience
College readiness
Why the Genesee County CTE Early Middle College would be a good fit for you

Application Process and Instructions

We are now accepting applications to the Genesee County Career and Technical Education Early Middle College for the 2021-2022 school year. Applications are open to current 10th grade students only.

There are several steps required to apply to the Genesee County CTE Early Middle College program and complete your enrollment. The first step is to fill out the form below with your information and information about your parents/guardians.
 
The Application Checklist will give you the next steps that you need to complete in order to finish the application process. You will find instructions on how to submit your application essay and how to to get recommendations from your current English teacher, math teacher, and high school counselor. You will also be given information about how to apply to Mott Community College and Genesee Career Institute.
