The Genesee Intermediate School District has openings for Bus Drivers and Transportation Aides to work flexible schedules or full-time up to 40 hours per week. We provide paid training to help prepare you for the position and to earn your Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
The current wage scale for Bus Drivers is $17.34-$20.40 and for Transportation Aides is $13.78-$16.84. Placement on the scale is based on experience and the type of route.

Special Education Drivers ‐ $17.87‐$21.02
Special Education Aides ‐ $14.20‐$17.35
Additionally, transportation staff initially hired through Genesee Education Consultant Services, Inc. (GECS) become eligible for direct hire by GISD after two years of successful employment. The direct hire opportunity makes staff eligible for the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System, as well as other benefits.
