Public Health Orders and Executive Orders

On September 2, the Genesee County Health Department, pursuant to the Michigan Public Health Code, issued a public health order requiring masks be worn by students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Please read this letter to parents and guardians from Dr. Steven Tunnicliff, Superintendent, regarding recent changes to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services guidance and the Genesee County Health Department (GCHD) changes to the school mask order and quarantine guidelines. The Genesee Intermediate School District continues to work closely with the Genesee County Health Department, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to carry out recommendations and protocols for mitigating the impact of the virus in our community.
