Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center

OK2SAYOur Mission

We are leaders and innovators creating success by providing a quality program and exceptional service for students and their families.

Our Program

Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center (EKLC) is a center-based school for students identified as Moderately Cognitively Impaired (MoCI) and Autistic (ASD). EKLC serves students from 21 districts in Genesee County, 8-26. EKLC uses the Michigan Model Supported Independence Curriculum, Common Core Essential Elements and Mi-Access assessment.

Readiness, Inclusive, Individual, and Supported Education (RIISE)

The RIISE program (formerly Project CHOICE) serves students throughout Genesee County. It allows students to attend school in a local district with nondisabled peers. This option offers an alternative classroom setting for students from Genesee Intermediate School District center programs.
