Our Purpose
The attendance intervention program is jointly funded by the Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) and the twenty-one (21) constituent school districts in Genesee County. When a local district identifies a student or family who is not meeting attendance expectations outlined in its attendance policy, the district contacts the Attendance Liaison Office to begin intervention efforts, address barriers, and connect the family with appropriate resources.
Mission Statement
In partnership with families, students, and community organizations across our local districts, we are dedicated to fostering strong attendance habits and reducing the impact of chronic absenteeism in Genesee County.
